This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Develop and maintain essential data pathways that drive business operations
• Integrate legacy batch systems with contemporary cloud infrastructures
• Oversee the transfer of high-volume files
• Streamline complex job workflows through automation
• Create tailored integrations
• Proactively design systems and provide hands-on support to ensure 24/7 reliability
• Utilize Git for version control and deploy code packages via automated CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions/Workflows
• Set up, test, and onboard SFTP, FTPS, and HTTPS file transfer protocols
• Design and manage secure external file exchanges with third-party vendors and financial institutions
• Construct, optimize, and oversee intricate multi-step batch schedules in Control-M
• Use Control-D for generating, formatting, and securely distributing automated system reports
• Manage AWS resources, including EC2, S3, Lambda, and VPC networks
• Write Terraform Infrastructure as Code templates to automate deployments
• Monitor cloud performance, track resource utilization, and fine-tune configurations to minimize costs
• Implement AWS IAM roles and security policies to enforce least-privilege data access
• Act as the primary escalation point for complex system outages and data pipeline failures
• Identify and resolve data transmission errors across MFT platforms
• Troubleshoot batch job failures in Control-M and analyze historical data using Control-D
• Participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule
• Conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurring incidents related to infrastructure, cloud, and data delivery
• Candidates must be residents of the United States, either in one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia
• Proof of U.S. citizenship is required at the time of hire
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in system integration, production support, or DevOps roles
• Proficiency in programming with Python, PowerShell/.NET
• Capability to clearly communicate technical issues to both business teams and software developers
• Analytical skills to identify root causes in interconnected, multi-platform environments
• Must possess work authorization that does not currently or in the future require visa sponsorship
• Successful completion of a background check in accordance with Alight’s employment policies
