Senior Fullstack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with team members to produce high-quality, high-throughput software solutions.

• Develop scalable and resilient solutions utilizing a variety of technologies.

• Engage in the design, development, testing, and delivery of software in a hands-on manner.

• Participate in meetings, conduct code reviews, and contribute to refactoring initiatives.

• Provide mentorship to junior engineers.

• Work alongside leadership to ensure operational success across various teams.

• Enhance designs, processes, and products by minimizing costs while improving efficiency and quality.

• Facilitate informed decision-making to achieve and uphold PCI and WCAG compliance.

• Lead engineering teams in developing the client's fundraiser management platform.

• Produce scalable, production-ready code for both new and existing features.

• Implement product changes each sprint and assist in bridging team gaps to maintain sprint schedules.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in one or more of the following: JavaScript (Node.js), JavaScript (React), PHP, relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), or NoSQL document stores.

• Previous experience in authoring technical documentation and requirements.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Cursor, including evaluation, integration, and critical review of AI-generated code.

• Experience in transitioning monolithic applications to a distributed architecture.

• Proven track record of leading a team of engineers to successful project outcomes.

• Knowledge of asynchronous programming.

• Previous experience in writing unit tests.

• Expert understanding of software design patterns and standards, API interactions, and the software development lifecycle.

• Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent level of practical experience.

• A collaborative and positive attitude with a strong sense of ownership.

• Bonus: proficiency with AWS or other cloud services.

• Bonus: experience with event-driven technologies such as Apache Kafka.

• Bonus: familiarity with GraphQL, GitLab, Atlassian Suite, Heap, Split.io, or Datadog.

• Bonus: experience in creating and enhancing cloud-based infrastructure.

• Bonus: a master's degree or additional education/experience in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
