This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Design and implement features for the Linux Kernel to be utilized internally and within Arista EOS.

• Stay updated with advancements in the Linux Kernel and collaborate with the kernel community for upstream integration.

• Develop and support CPU subsystems across various Arista products.

• Assess new CPUs and collaborate with CPU/BIOS vendors to integrate their solutions into EOS.

• Initialize and validate CPU/BIOS components in hardware products.

• Introduce new software functionalities, troubleshoot issues, and optimize code for enhanced scalability and performance.

• Manage projects from initial definition to deployment and customer engagement.

• Ensure the quality of the software delivered.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.

• Over 5 years of experience with C or C++ as well as Python.

• Practical experience working with Linux Kernel software is advantageous.

• Knowledge of IP networking and/or distributed systems is a plus.

• Solid understanding of software engineering principles.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and software debugging skills.

• Capability to design and successfully implement solutions.
