Software Engineer III – PeopleSoft Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, create, test, implement, and sustain customizations and integrations within the PeopleSoft environment.

• Provide support and enhancements for PeopleSoft FSCM applications, which include Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, General Ledger, Purchasing, Asset Management, Project Costing, Inventory, and eProcurement.

• Develop and maintain PeopleCode, Application Engine, SQR, BI Publisher, Integration Broker, Component Interfaces, SQL, and Fluid pages.

• Analyze business requirements and convert them into effective technical solutions.

• Troubleshoot production issues, application defects, and performance-related concerns.

• Create and maintain PeopleSoft interfaces with third-party applications utilizing REST, SOAP, file transfers, and Integration Broker.

• Collaborate with functional analysts, DBAs, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders.

• Engage in system testing, regression testing, deployment, on-call support, and scheduled maintenance activities.

• Document technical specifications, system designs, coding standards, and operational procedures.

• Assess process improvements, automation possibilities, and enhancements to system performance.

• Offer technical mentoring and knowledge sharing within the application development team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree along with 5 or more years of professional experience in developing and supporting PeopleSoft FSCM applications, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Comprehensive knowledge of PeopleSoft architecture and application design.

• Familiarity with PeopleTools, encompassing Application Designer, PeopleCode, Application Engine, SQR, Integration Broker, Query, BI Publisher, and Component Interfaces.

• Relational database knowledge and proficiency in writing complex SQL statements, preferably in Microsoft SQL.

• Understanding of REST APIs, SOAP, XML, and JSON.

• Awareness of PeopleSoft security, roles, permission lists, and row-level security.

• Familiarity with Change Assistant, PUM Images, and Lifecycle Management.

• Understanding of SDLC, source control, and change management methodologies.

• Knowledge of performance tuning and troubleshooting methods.

• Strong SQL development and database troubleshooting capabilities.

• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

• Capacity to analyze complex technical and business challenges and formulate practical solutions.

• Competence in estimating work effort and adhering to project deadlines.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Ability to pass a background and drug screening.

• Must possess identification compliant with the Real ID Act at the time of hire.

• Must be eligible to obtain a Department of Energy access badge.

• Compliance with federal regulations regarding controlled substances is required.

• For employees receiving initial badges on or after September 1st, 2025, obtaining and maintaining an HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Credential is mandatory.

• Successful completion of a federal background check investigation is required.
