This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Support and manage enterprise API management and gateway platforms.

• Oversee API onboarding, deployment, versioning, publishing, and lifecycle management activities.

• Configure API policies, routing, authentication, authorization, throttling, and traffic management.

• Analyze API performance, availability, latency, and usage trends.

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain cloud-native solutions using AWS services.

• Provide support for AWS platform components, including API Gateway, EKS, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, Route53, SNS/SQS, and EventBridge.

• Automate operational tasks using scripting, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud-native tools.

• Implement resiliency, disaster recovery, backup, and recovery solutions.

• Diagnose infrastructure, networking, application, and cloud integration issues.

• Establish monitoring, logging, alerting, dashboards, and distributed tracing.

• Define and measure SLIs, SLOs, and operational reliability metrics.

• Lead incident troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem management.

• Engage in production support, on-call rotations, and major incident response activities.

• Construct and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

• Support containerized application deployments utilizing Kubernetes and Helm.

• Develop infrastructure automation using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software components and platform services.

• Offer technical guidance during design reviews, implementation planning, and troubleshooting.

• Review system architectures and suggest enhancements for availability, performance, and maintainability.

• Create and maintain operational runbooks, support procedures, and engineering documentation.

• Identify operational risks, recurring incidents, and opportunities for service improvement.

• Diagnose complex production issues across applications, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and integrations.

• Lead root cause investigations and execute preventative measures.

• Enhance platform reliability, automation, observability, and operational processes.

• Assess emerging technologies in cloud, DevOps, AI/ML, and platform engineering.

• Collaborate with Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, Product, and Development teams.

• Communicate technical issues, risks, and operational status to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Participate in planning, estimation, release readiness, operational reviews, and post-incident evaluations.


⛳️ Requirements

• 4+ years of demonstrated experience in Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Operations.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to this requirement.

• Experience in supporting production applications and customer-facing platforms.

• Proven success in Agile and DevOps environments.

• Familiarity with cloud-native services such as AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, and S3.

• Experience with build, integration, and deployment tools like Jenkins and Maven.

• Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks including Java/J2EE, Python, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and React.

• Experience in supporting enterprise API platforms at scale.

• Strong operational expertise in AWS and Kubernetes.

• Experience leading production incident response and root cause analysis efforts.

• Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering principles and practices.

• Ability to influence technical decisions across multiple teams.

• Experience utilizing AI and automation technologies to enhance operational efficiency.

• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.

• Proven success in highly regulated, customer-facing environments.

• Willingness to travel as necessary for divisional/team meetings and other in-person engagements.

• Must have authorization to work indefinitely in the United States.
