Software Engineer II – Support

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage and resolve engineering escalations effectively.

• Review and implement fixes throughout the technology stack.

• Prioritize and address software bugs for end-users utilizing TypeScript, Node, and React.

• Execute changes in the Postgres database to facilitate workflow unblocking.

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to identify root causes and product deficiencies.

• Document troubleshooting procedures, solutions, and internal workflows.

• Monitor system performance and detect potential issues using Grafana and Sentry.

• Participate in escalation and on-call rotations while leading incident resolutions.

• Review pull requests from team members and provide insights on correctness, risk, and maintainability.

• Take ownership of engineering projects from initiation to delivery, concentrating on tooling and solutions that minimize recurring escalations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in building and maintaining production software.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline.

• Proficient in TypeScript, Node, React, and Postgres.

• Familiarity with Grafana and Sentry.

• Ability to utilize AI tools and agents while ensuring high-quality code standards.

• Capability to investigate unfamiliar code and production data to uncover root causes.

• Proficient in communicating technical challenges to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to evaluate production risks and decide when to rectify, escalate, or involve another team.
