
Software Engineer II β Identity Security Posture Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.
β’ Address well-defined challenges derived from product requirements by providing comprehensive backend solutions, encompassing data modeling through to APIs and evaluation logic.
β’ Play a role in designing core identity security posture systems while authoring and reviewing technical design documentation.
β’ Engage in architectural discussions and design reviews, highlighting trade-offs and edge cases.
β’ Maintain engineering best practices across various areas including testing, code quality, API design, and observability.
β’ Develop and scale high-performance backend services utilizing Go, including event-driven systems, REST/gRPC APIs, cron jobs, and integration layers.
β’ Design, model, and optimize database schemas that can manage large-scale multi-tenant identity workloads.
β’ Implement event-driven workflows utilizing Kafka as a message queue to facilitate asynchronous processing and ensure ongoing evaluation of identity postures.
β’ Ensure operational reliability and service health through standard runbooks, feature flags, and comprehensive monitoring setups.
β’ Collaborate effectively with team leads, engineering managers, and fellow engineers to align on feature scope, prioritize tasks, and achieve quarterly key results and milestones.
β’ Participate in on-call rotation, incident management, and SLO oversight.
β’ Operate independently and asynchronously within a distributed team based in India and Singapore.
β’ A minimum of 4 years of software development experience, with approximately 2 years focused on building production-grade backend services.
β’ Significant backend production experience with Go, creating idiomatic services characterized by clean design patterns, thorough testing, and strong error handling.
β’ Proficient system design skills, with experience in building and managing scalable, multi-tenant, event-driven distributed systems.
β’ Practical experience with Kafka or comparable high-throughput event-streaming technologies.
β’ Strong SQL and PostgreSQL skills, including schema design, query optimization, and data modeling for multi-tenant workloads.
β’ Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating technical trade-offs, contributing to design documents, and collaborating effectively with team leads, project managers, and colleagues.
β’ Ability to navigate ambiguity, making informed decisions with limited data and iterating swiftly.
β’ Familiarity with AI-assisted software development workflows and tools.
