Software Engineer II – Backend Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Develop capabilities at the platform level for the Customer Purchase Service team.

• Oversee the integration of purchase information across both online and in-store channels.

• Create essential tools that empower Home Depot B2B customers to search and analyze their transaction history.

• Collaborate with UX designers, engineers, product managers, and other members of the product team.

• Design secure, reliable, and scalable software solutions.

• Document, review, and ensure adherence to quality and change control standards.

• Make certain that user stories are ready for developers, clear, and testable.

• Write code and scripts to automate infrastructure tasks, monitoring services, and testing scenarios.

• Conduct destructive testing to guarantee production resilience.

• Configure and modify existing programs and commercial off-the-shelf solutions.

• Develop dashboards, logging systems, alerting mechanisms, and proactive responses to issues.

• Engage in agile processes, fostering learning, experimentation, and team enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen years old.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Minimum of 2 years of work experience required.

• Preferred 1–3 years of relevant work experience.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Familiarity with writing SQL queries for relational databases.

• Experience with Java Spring Boot is necessary.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Experience with search tools such as Elasticsearch, Mongo Atlas, or Apache Solr.

• No minimum leadership experience is required.

• No specific certifications are necessary.
