Software Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Develop, manage, enhance, and secure the healthcare platform at Teladoc Health.

• Assess actions based on established guidelines and adjust processes and methods as necessary.

• Utilize acquired techniques and assist in analysis and investigation to address challenges.

• Offer standard professional guidance and generate initial reports and analyses for evaluation.

• Provide technical direction to a small engineering team on a project-by-project basis.

• Generate engineering tasks derived from product requirement documents.

• Conduct code reviews for engineering colleagues with an emphasis on member experience.

• Design and develop features and core platform functionalities focused on enhancing member experience.

• Create, develop, and uphold scalable applications and services utilizing PHP/Symfony and React.

• Design database schemas, optimize queries, and produce automated test code using PostgreSQL.

• Deploy and manage containerized applications through Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.

• Provide support and resolve issues for applications operating in Linux environments.

• Construct and maintain cloud-native solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure services.

• Update code to enhance scalability, availability, performance, operational efficiency, and data-processing workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2.5 years of experience in the computer science industry.

• At least 3 years of experience in engineering design and software development, specifically for member-facing applications and services.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in developing applications using PHP and Symfony.

• Proficient in creating modern web applications using React.

• Over 3 years of experience in designing database schemas and crafting optimized SQL queries with PostgreSQL.

• Experienced in deploying and managing applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.

• Familiarity with building and supporting applications in Microsoft Azure environments.

• Working knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and command-line tools.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Capability to provide technical leadership to a small engineering team.

• Proficient with PHP, Symfony, React, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, SQL, and PostgreSQL.

• Must be able to pass identity and credential verification, interviews, and screening for fraud or misrepresentation.
