Software Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain the internal billing workflow platform's VB.NET WinForms desktop application.

• Write and enhance T-SQL, stored procedures, and SQL Server Agent tasks.

• Implement new features, system improvements, and performance enhancements as part of the platform's modernization efforts.

• Assist in transitioning the platform to a contemporary web-based architecture like ASP.NET Core/Blazor.

• Develop and uphold automated tests while increasing test coverage.

• Engage in code reviews and adhere to coding standards, style guides, and code-audit protocols.

• Work collaboratively with BI, Analyst, Processing, and Submission teams to convert billing requirements into technical solutions.

• Contribute to technical design conversations under the mentorship of senior engineers.

• Utilize Claude Code and other AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity and code quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient English communication skills (C1 level or equivalent).

• 3–5 years of practical software development experience.

• Required hands-on experience with VB.NET and the .NET Framework.

• Hands-on experience with T-SQL and SQL Server, including database design, query optimization, stored procedures, and SQL Server Agent job scheduling.

• Experience in developing and maintaining WinForms desktop applications, including MDI architecture.

• Proficiency in writing and maintaining automated tests (unit/functional/regression) in a .NET environment.

• Capability to design, estimate, and deliver well-defined software solutions based on business requirements.

• Familiarity with C#, ASP.NET Core, Blazor, or Entity Framework Core is advantageous.

• Knowledge of Angular is a plus.

• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, and code-quality gating tools like SonarQube is beneficial.

• A solid understanding of financial systems, financial processes, and billing/invoicing terminology is highly desirable.

• A strong desire to expand technical ownership with support and guidance from senior engineers.

• Experience with Claude Code or similar AI-assisted development tools is preferred.
