This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and deploy features throughout data pipelines and platform services in a production environment.

• Execute distributed data processing jobs along with their orchestration and configuration.

• Create services and APIs that provide access to pipeline data and platform functionalities for internal teams and clients.

• Integrate external systems including data vendors, client delivery endpoints, cloud warehouses, and third-party applications.

• Ensure integrations are observable and can recover gracefully in the event of failures.

• Implement instrumentation, alerting mechanisms, and automated testing.

• Contribute to infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipeline development.

• Engage in code reviews, incident responses, and knowledge-sharing activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field of practical experience.

• A minimum of 2 years of professional software engineering experience in building and supporting production-grade software.

• Proficient programming skills in at least one modern programming language.

• Strong SQL proficiency, with experience in relational databases and/or cloud data warehouses.

• Familiarity with distributed data processing at scale (e.g., Spark) or similar large-scale data systems.

• Practical experience with a major cloud platform, preferably AWS, covering object storage, IAM, and at least one compute service.

• Experience with automated testing, version control, code reviews, and debugging using logs and metrics.

• Knowledge of EMR, infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, CI/CD tools, or managing PII under contractual or regulatory constraints is advantageous.
