Software Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Vietnam.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and maintain intricate features and components for cloud-based SaaS applications.

• Lead the development of medium to large-scale features from the initial design phase through deployment and monitoring.

• Architect and implement solutions that are scalable, resilient, and maintainable.

• Identify and rectify technical debt while proposing architectural enhancements.

• Provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior engineers.

• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to establish and refine technical requirements.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to production, performance, and scalability.

• Participate in the selection and evaluation of new technologies and tools.

• Keep up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies.

• Build and scale a Shopify-integrated SaaS platform across the merchant dashboard, admin portal, and embeddable widgets.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with 2-4 years of relevant experience is required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• High-level proficiency in programming principles such as OOP and functional programming, and design patterns like DRY, SOLID, and IoC.

• Expert-level proficiency in at least one frontend framework: React, Angular, or Vue.

• Experience with advanced UI concepts.

• High-level proficiency in at least one backend language: Node.js, PHP, Python, or Go.

• Familiarity with microservices architecture.

• Significant experience in database design, optimization, and NoSQL databases.

• Extensive hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment tools, and infrastructure-as-code.

• Proven track record in leading small to medium-sized development teams within an Agile environment.

• Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including cloud-native architectures.

• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.

• Experience with web application security best practices.

• Proficient in prompt engineering and experienced in utilizing an AI coding assistant in daily tasks.

• Fluent in English.
