Software Engineer, Frontend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Enhance our Extract + Docs product, allowing hospital personnel to upload, process, and organize documents with AI assistance.

• Transform intricate processes into straightforward, dependable UI flows that guide users through document management, extraction, and form creation quickly and intuitively.

• Advance the Extract + Docs product with a focus on document upload, management, and AI-driven workflows.

• Develop UI flows for document management, extraction triggers, status/progress monitoring, and effective error handling.

• Integrate backend and AI APIs, managing asynchronous flows such as polling, status updates, and client-side state management.

• Guarantee a seamless and dependable user experience across different browsers, emphasizing performance and accessibility.

• Create tests at unit, integration, and end-to-end levels, fostering a robust testing culture.

• Take ownership of features throughout their lifecycle – from implementation to production, including deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and iteration.

• Work closely with Product, Design, and QA teams to facilitate rapid iteration and continuous workflow improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of frontend engineering experience developing production-quality web applications.

• Strong foundational knowledge in React and TypeScript, encompassing components, hooks, state management, and testing.

• Proficient in integrating APIs and creating reliable asynchronous user experiences (loading states, retries, polling, edge scenarios).

• Approach product and user experience with a focus on clarity, speed, and safe defaults in UI design.

• Take responsibility for your work – deliver features from start to finish and ensure their reliability in production.

• Communicate effectively in a remote-first environment and collaborate successfully with cross-functional teams.

• Prioritize data privacy and security when managing sensitive documents and patient information.

• Confidently communicate in English and be comfortable working in an international setting.

• Nice to have: experience with complex form UIs, accessibility, performance enhancement, or document/PDF workflows.
