• Take a leading role in the design and development of services and features that will facilitate the transformation of our finance technology stack, working closely with Staff Engineers and Product teams.

• Over 3 years of professional development experience, emphasizing backend technologies and service building with Go, Ruby on Rails, Java, or similar programming languages.
• Proven success in designing and utilizing APIs (REST or GraphQL), along with a working knowledge of relational SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
• Proficient in using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) and a demonstrated ability to incorporate them into daily engineering workflows to enhance delivery, elevate code quality, and automate routine development tasks. A willingness to share AI best practices with colleagues is a plus!
• Experience in designing, building, and scaling payment processing and payout systems (e.g., credit card processing, invoicing, refunds, restaurant partner disbursements, tax calculation/reconciliation) within high-volume, customer-facing products.
• Practical experience in integrating with contemporary payment service providers and gateways (e.g., Stripe, Adyen, Braintree, card networks), with a solid understanding of payment lifecycles, settlement, chargebacks, and regulatory/compliance requirements (such as PCI and SCA).
• A focus on quality: adherence to security best practices, automated testing, clean code, code reviews, and fundamental CI/CD principles.
• Hands-on experience utilizing feature flags, telemetry, and safe rollout strategies to deploy incrementally and minimize risks associated with changes.
• Experience in triaging and investigating custom-impacting production issues.
• A proven record of collaborating with Product and Design teams to transform ambiguous challenges into iterative deliveries and quantifiable results.
• A willingness to both give and receive feedback in a collaborative learning atmosphere.
