Software Engineer – Entry Level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in design, coding, testing, debugging, and implementation tasks under the mentorship of senior developers.

• Aid in converting project requirements into functional software components.

• Adhere to established Agile methodologies and principles in software development.

• Engage in code reviews and incorporate feedback to enhance assigned tasks.

• Support the identification and resolution of basic technical issues and defects under supervision.

• Document completed work and contribute to technical documentation.

• Communicate progress, inquiries, and obstacles to supervisors and team members.

• Play a role in the development and maintenance of mission-critical personnel vetting software utilized across the Department of Defense.

⛳️ Requirements

• 0-2 years of relevant experience in software development or a related technical field.

• Foundational knowledge of at least one programming language.

• Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) concepts.

• Ability to work effectively under supervision as part of a team.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• U.S. Citizenship.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance/suitability determination, as required by the contract.

• Experience with Agile/Scrum development environments (preferred).

• Familiarity with version control tools like Git (preferred).

• Coursework or internship experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure (preferred).

• Willingness to learn new tools, languages, and frameworks as project requirements change.

• Relevant industry certifications are advantageous but not mandatory, such as CompTIA Security+ or AWS Cloud Practitioner.
