This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain cross-platform desktop applications utilizing Electron.

• Create responsive and scalable user interfaces for real-time collaboration.

• Implement desktop-specific features such as file system access, native notifications, auto-updates, and deep linking.

• Integrate features powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) (chat, agents, AI assistance) through backend APIs.

• Optimize startup time, memory consumption, and overall runtime performance.

• Profile and minimize Electron overhead.

• Efficiently manage extensive local state and message history.

• Ensure seamless real-time updates (messages, typing indicators, presence).

• Maintain stability across both macOS and Windows platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated software engineering experience.

• Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) is essential.

• Practical experience in developing production-grade Electron applications.

• Strong expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript.

• Familiarity with React or similar UI frameworks.

• Comprehensive understanding of the desktop application lifecycle.

• Experience with IPC communication.

• Background in working with local storage solutions (SQLite, IndexedDB, filesystem).

• Experience with WebSockets or other real-time communication protocols.

• Strong skills in debugging and performance profiling.

• Understanding of native OS behaviors on macOS or Windows.
