This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and uphold Alpaca’s cryptocurrency exchange and market-making platforms.

• Create services for crypto wallets, funding, and tokenization.

• Implement backend services and web applications effectively.

• Ensure high standards of software quality and testing coverage.

• Engage in code review processes.

• Diagnose incidents and resolve reported issues.

• May be required to be on-call to support timely engineering initiatives.

• Architect, implement, and support systems and services that establish the foundation of Alpaca Crypto.

• Independently design and execute solutions while collaborating with a cross-functional team to define objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient understanding of trading systems with experience in developing exchanges, market-making systems, matching engines, or other high-throughput, low-latency, regulated, fault-tolerant financial systems.

• Demonstrated experience in building cryptocurrency solutions.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• At least 4 years of experience in backend software development.

• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as GoLang, C/C++, etc.; the platform utilizes Golang.

• Familiarity with messaging queues and message brokers.

• SQL or relational database expertise.

• Practical knowledge of Bash, Linux, and Docker.

• Experience with Kubernetes, CKA, CKAD certification, DevOps, CI/CD, major cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), Agile/Scrum methodologies, microservice architectures, and clean coding practices are considered advantageous.
