This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Expand the horizons of contemporary backend development to create swift, ambitious web applications that will impress our clients.

• Collaborate closely with our product team to develop features that significantly impact the business.

• Identify bottlenecks proactively and enhance the frontend developer experience.

• Partner with our design team to craft elegant and user-friendly UI components.

• Gain a deep understanding of our business context and utilize engineering expertise to devise innovative solutions to challenges.

• Flourish within a small, agile team comprised of technical specialists.

• Uphold quality and high standards by consistently applying superior coding standards, paying close attention to detail, and following a systematic work process.

• Promote and implement sound coding practices, including maintainability, reuse, clean code, and unit testing within the team.

• Create automated unit and acceptance tests to ensure software aligns with design specifications.

• Commit to continuous learning by exploring the latest technologies, seeking optimal solutions, and striving for improvement.

• Mentor and support teammates through code reviews and collaborative brainstorming sessions.

• Engage at the team level in designing and executing solutions.

• Question the status quo and express your opinions confidently.


⛳️ Requirements

• Strong expertise and a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in object-oriented software design, primarily in Java.

• Knowledgeable in JavaScript, including its fundamentals and the latest advancements.

• Experience in developing and utilizing RESTful APIs (GraphQL experience is a plus).

• Ability to evaluate trade-offs when discussing backend technologies.

• Capacity to inspire and motivate others to enhance quality and productivity while maintaining technical innovation and excellence.

• Quality and high standards are essential to us; you will focus on consistently applying superior coding standards, meticulous attention to detail, and a structured work process.
