Software Engineer – CMS, HIOS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain high-quality backend and frontend components for production.

• Develop APIs, business logic, data access layers, and user interfaces.

• Introduce new features while enhancing existing legacy functionalities.

• Transform legacy Java applications (e.g., Struts/JBoss) into Spring Boot services.

• Create RESTful APIs utilizing Java and Spring Boot.

• Design and maintain React applications employing TypeScript.

• Apply authentication and authorization through IAM solutions (e.g., Keycloak).

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

• Over 5 years of professional software development experience as an individual contributor.

• Strong expertise in Java (the most critical requirement) with extensive hands-on experience in Spring Boot.

• Experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs; skilled in JUnit or similar testing frameworks.

• Practical experience with Angular (v2+) and TypeScript for integrating front-end features with back-end services.

• Knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL and/or Oracle (SQL, schema design, troubleshooting).

• Proficient in using Git and managing work tracking in Jira; excellent collaboration and communication abilities.

• Proven capability to conduct code reviews, maintain code quality, and both provide and accept coaching to enhance team practices.

• Strong problem-solving skills, proactive in identifying risks, and clear communication to a variety of audiences.
