This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
β’ Oversee the architecture, design, and execution of a new suite of applications utilizing C# and .NET.
β’ Create and sustain scalable, well-organized RESTful APIs along with supporting services.
β’ Engage across the entire stack, including backend services and frontend components, to provide comprehensive solutions.
β’ Establish and promote Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies, ensuring sufficient automated test coverage.
β’ Evaluate code, offer technical insights, and maintain agreed-upon quality and design standards.
β’ Guide junior engineers through code reviews, collaborative programming, and continuous technical support.
β’ Work with the engineering team to clarify technical requirements, estimate workloads, and iteratively deliver functionalities.
β’ Offer limited support and maintenance for legacy systems amidst the modernization initiative.
β’ Collaborate with the Director of Software Engineering and other stakeholders on technical strategies, trade-offs, and delivery planning.
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
β’ 3β5+ years of professional experience in software development with C# and .NET.
β’ Experience in designing and developing APIs, ideally with ASP.NET Core.
β’ Proven full-stack development experience.
β’ Strong hands-on experience with Test-Driven Development.
β’ Proficient with Git-based version control and issue tracking systems (e.g., GitHub, JIRA).
β’ Ability to work independently in a remote setting while effectively collaborating with a distributed team.
β’ Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on code quality and maintainability.
β’ Familiarity with Blazor (Server or WebAssembly) or comparable modern web UI frameworks.
β’ Experience with recent releases of .NET (.NET 6+), Entity Framework, and cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
β’ Previous participation in a significant application rewrite or the development of a greenfield system.
