Software Engineer – Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable backend services and robust APIs.

• Define and implement strong API contracts to ensure seamless data integration with consuming services.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend systems, data pipelines, and database queries.

• Architect, provision, and manage scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure utilizing AWS.

• Document system and service configurations along with procedures.

• Conduct thorough code reviews and offer constructive feedback to maintain code quality and maintainability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in developing scalable backend systems.

• Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.

• Extensive experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including schema design, query optimization, and management.

• Solid understanding of system architecture and distributed systems.

• Experience in designing for performance, security, and high availability.

• Proven capability in designing, building, and documenting RESTful and/or gRPC APIs.

• Strong expertise in Django and Django REST Framework.

• Significant experience in managing AWS cloud infrastructure and service deployment.

• Experience in implementing monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions for production environments.

• Skills in designing, developing, and deploying containerized microservices on AWS ECS or Fargate.

• Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Nice to have: knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD tools.

• Nice to have: understanding of Docker.

• Nice to have: experience with Kafka, SQS, or other message queuing/streaming systems.
