Software Engineer – Backend, AI/LLM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Participate in backend and/or full-stack feature development, testing, and deployment for core products/platforms, ensuring the delivery of production-ready code.

• Collaborate with senior engineers on module architecture, API/interface specifications, system integration, and deployment processes (including logging, monitoring, and performance enhancement).

• Create and maintain automated tests and CI/CD configurations to boost development efficiency and uphold code quality.

• Assist in the engineering deployment of AI/LLM capabilities according to business requirements, such as integrating LLM APIs, developing basic RAG pipelines, and incorporating tool/agent functionalities into existing systems.

• Aid in constructing and maintaining datasets and benchmarks for evaluation/regression, monitor online performance, and support debugging and issue resolution.

• Generate essential technical documentation and communicate effectively across different teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.

• Strong foundation in software engineering principles: data structures and algorithms, object-oriented design, common design patterns, and best coding practices.

• Proficient in at least one primary programming language for engineering tasks; Python is mandatory. Familiarity with Java/Go/TypeScript/JavaScript is advantageous.

• Knowledgeable in common engineering tools and processes: Git, basic Linux, debugging skills; understanding of unit/integration testing, RESTful APIs, and databases (SQL/NoSQL).

• Some experience in AI/LLM projects or internships is acceptable (no in-depth research necessary), e.g., prompt engineering/function calling, RAG, vector databases, or familiarity with frameworks like LangChain/LangGraph is a plus.

• Demonstrates strong ownership, effective communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to learn rapidly and deliver results.

• Available to commit for a minimum of 6 months, 5 days a week.
