This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.
• Develop highly scalable microservices within a serverless backend architecture featuring a continuous delivery pipeline.
• Engage in design discussions to enhance the overall architecture of the platform.
• Gain proficiency in AWS technologies and constructing a contemporary event-driven serverless architecture.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and product owners to grasp requirements and devise solutions.
• Continuous learning: Tillster provides access to LinkedIn Learning courses to enhance your skills across various domains as needed.
• Employ various application integration techniques to interact with third-party and legacy/back-end systems.
• Contribute to the development of high-volume, high-performance, high-availability service-oriented applications in Java or TypeScript using established frameworks and technologies.
• 3-5+ years of experience in designing and developing service-oriented applications in Java, Python, C#, TypeScript (or any modern programming language).
• Expertise in designing and developing reusable libraries, APIs, and microservices.
• Proficient in any modern OOP language, with a preference for Java or TypeScript.
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases.
• Relevant operating system knowledge (Linux/Unix and Windows), along with networking experience.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Previous experience in Point-of-Sale development or payment systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or a related field) or equivalent experience.
• Prior experience with AWS serverless technologies and related services like DynamoDB, SQS, etc., is a plus but not required.
• Meal allowance available through a meal card for each day worked.
