This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the complete lifecycle of the RevChain billing platform, which includes designing, building, testing, releasing, operating, and continuously enhancing core product features along with customer-specific customizations.
• Provide dependable and scalable billing functionalities encompassing rating, invoicing, taxation, credits/adjustments, payment processing, and dunning processes.
• Oversee the management of releases and change control for both core and custom deployments; ensure quality through automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and thorough regression coverage.
• Track production health and performance; handle incident triage, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive measures to meet or exceed SLAs.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and system analysts to convert business requirements into solid technical solutions.
• Integrate RevChain with various upstream and downstream systems (ordering, provisioning, CRM, OSS/BSS, general ledger) using APIs, ETL, and event-driven frameworks.
• Enhance platform reliability and resilience through performance tuning, caching strategies, data partitioning, and designing for disaster recovery.
• Maintain data integrity and compliance standards across environments; support audits, enforce access controls, and implement best practices for privacy and security.
• Develop and sustain clear technical documentation and operational procedures to ensure repeatable and secure deployments and support.
• Analyze billing data and workflows to detect defects, identify gaps, and explore optimization opportunities; suggest and implement roadmap improvements.
• Assist external customers in utilizing RevChain as a software product, providing configuration assistance and ongoing operational support.
• Participate in agile ceremonies (backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and offer realistic estimates while fulfilling commitments.
• Mentor colleagues, share expertise, and advocate for engineering excellence through code reviews, adherence to standards, and continuous improvement.
• Actively identify risks and dependencies; facilitate cross-functional resolutions and communicate status and impact updates to stakeholders.
• Foster a customer-focused culture—measure outcomes, solicit feedback, and iterate rapidly to enhance the overall billing experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in full life cycle application development using AGILE/SCRUM methodology.
• At least 3 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: JavaEE, C++/C, OOA, OOD, Linux, and Windows.
• Over 3 years of experience with at least one of the following: RDBMS, SQL, Oracle, and/or PLSQL.
• More than 3 years of experience with one or more of the following technologies: WebLogic, SQR, UNIX Shell Scripting, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, XML, J2EE, Hibernate/Spring, JSF, ANT, and Maven.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to develop software according to approved design specifications with occasional guidance from a seasoned developer or architect.
• Capability to conduct unit testing and integration testing to ensure software meets requirements, design specifications, and performance criteria.
• Ability to assist the SQA team during their test cycle for deliverables.
• Create and update project documentation in accordance with established standards.
