Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and oversee backend services and APIs that support financial systems and integrations.

• Create Java solutions ranging from versions 18 to 21 within microservices architectures.

• Construct and manage REST, GraphQL, and SOAP APIs, including services based on Spring Boot.

• Collaborate with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Redis, and various other relational and NoSQL databases.

• Develop and sustain cloud-native applications in AWS environments.

• Enhance and maintain existing systems, including legacy codebases.

• Contribute to the design of scalable, maintainable, and reliable system architectures.

• Engage in technical design discussions and assess technical trade-offs.

• Ensure the performance, scalability, security, cost-efficiency, code quality, documentation, and maintainability of systems.

• Implement strategies for unit, integration, and regression testing.

• Conduct code reviews and contribute to the establishment of engineering standards, patterns, and reusable components.

• Diagnose production issues, perform root cause analyses, debug, and resolve bottlenecks.

• Contribute to monitoring, observability, and operational enhancements.

• Collaborate with Product, DBA, DevOps, Infrastructure, Lead Software Development, Product Managers, and other key stakeholders.

• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and assist with system integrations.

• Mentor and guide engineers, assist with onboarding, and share expertise.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting following organizational guidelines.

• Identify opportunities for process and system improvements, reduce technical debt, and stay updated with emerging technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient backend development skills utilizing Java (versions 18-21).

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 6 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer.

• Proven experience in developing and delivering backend systems in production settings.

• Experience in designing and contributing to complex software systems and architectures.

• Familiarity with REST, GraphQL, and SOAP APIs.

• Experience with SQL databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.

• Knowledge of NoSQL technologies such as Redis.

• Experience with Kafka.

• Background in developing cloud-based applications within AWS.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows.

• Experience in collaborative, cross-functional environments.

• Experience in supporting and maintaining production systems.
