Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance scalable Golang microservices that drive eligibility, coverage, billing, and client-facing platforms.

• Automate and optimize operational processes to minimize manual data handling, enhancing the accuracy and availability of member and client data.

• Design and implement self-service tools for finance, operations, and client teams.

• Ensure that member, client, and operational data remains accurate, consistent, and traceable for both internal decision-making and external reporting.

• Collaborate with data and AI teams to develop AI applications for data validation, process automation, and anomaly detection.

• Contribute to client-facing APIs to facilitate seamless data exchange between Virta and its customers.

• Build dependable systems, enhance data accuracy, automate essential processes, and support transparent reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience shipping backend code in a high-quality production environment, particularly with data-centric systems.

• Proven experience in building microservices within a production setting.

• Familiarity with data and event-driven architectures, including API development, SQL/NoSQL databases, and messaging queues.

• Proficient in Golang.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, and/or Azure.

• Excellent communication skills and a track record of engaging with both technical and non-technical business stakeholders.

• A long-term perspective with a focus on business impact while maintaining engineering excellence.

• Practical experience with AI tools is a bonus.

• Basic frontend skills are a plus.

• Exposure to healthcare, fintech, or other regulated sectors is advantageous.

• Must adhere to security and privacy protocols for sensitive patient information in accordance with HIPAA.
