Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage and address maintenance backlog tasks, which encompass bug fixes, performance enhancements, dependency updates, and infrastructure upkeep.

• Design and implement new features within a full-stack application utilizing TypeScript, Node.js, React, PostgreSQL, Docker, and AWS.

• Create and uphold workflows that facilitate regulatory compliance for autonomous technology operators.

• Leverage AI-assisted coding tools for reviewing, validating, and explaining code changes that have been generated.

• Produce clean, well-documented code with small, reviewable commits and pull requests.

• Detect and communicate any potential security or reliability issues associated with AI-driven functionalities.

• Work collaboratively with the engineering team to fulfill specified development tasks within an existing production codebase.

• Aid in preserving application stability, performance, and reliability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess authorization to work in the United States.

• Professional experience with TypeScript, Node.js, React, PostgreSQL, and Docker is required.

• Demonstrated experience in deploying applications on AWS utilizing infrastructure-as-code tools such as CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.

• Proficiency in using Git and GitHub, including the ability to create clean pull requests and maintain a well-organized commit history.

• Experience in contributing to and maintaining an existing production codebase instead of solely developing new applications from the ground up.

• Familiarity with AI coding tools, along with the ability to understand, validate, and explain generated code.

• Working knowledge of language models, including their capabilities, limitations, and security implications.

• Experience in the aviation, defense, or other regulated sectors is preferred.

• Customer-facing experience is also preferred.
