Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop new functionalities that drive millions of daily interactions on Replicant’s primary AI voice and chat solutions.

• Deliver full-stack, end-to-end features that have a significant impact.

• Incorporate automatic speech recognition, text-to-speech, and enhancements to conversational AI models into our products.

• Refactor, optimize, and troubleshoot production systems while balancing latency, costs, and user experience.

• Engage in regular on-call rotations and monitor live production environments.

• Continuously enhance systems based on performance metrics and user feedback.

• Contribute to knowledge sharing and mentorship in distributed systems, high-availability design, and enterprise-scale AI user experiences.

• Participate in team and company-wide events; travel may be required.

• Design and implement technologies that facilitate natural, human-like conversations at scale.

• Create user experiences and backend services for the design, launch, and monitoring of AI-driven conversations.

• Collaborate with product and machine learning teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in full-stack software engineering, preferably in SaaS, AI, or complex real-time systems.

• Proven track record of developing and delivering elegant, maintainable solutions that scale to millions of users.

• History of enhancing engineering standards while prioritizing impact over process.

• Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.

• Proficient in AI tools for writing, enhancing, debugging, and refactoring extensive codebases.

• Experience in designing and implementing automated, manual, and AI-based testing.

• Expertise in TypeScript and frontend frameworks such as React or similar.

• Proficient in Node.js for production-grade backend systems.

• Strong skills in Python.

• Familiarity with Rust, LLM prompt engineering, Google Cloud Services, or Kubernetes.

• Knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.

• Understanding of AWS, GCP, or Azure along with CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiar with metrics, logging, and monitoring.

• Passion for AI, machine learning, and telephony.

• Willingness to attend occasional in-person company events.

• Ability to travel as needed.
