Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Develop, maintain, and enhance backend services, along with Kafka-based streaming pipelines that process user behavior data throughout AWS infrastructure.

• Create microservices and APIs that offer user segments and behavioral models to traditional UI and agentic downstream surfaces.

• Transform behavioral signals into segments and models for the platform.

• Evaluate and utilize AI coding assistants and agents, facilitating the team's adoption of effective tools.

• Engage in architectural discussions to determine solutions for moderately complex issues.

• Construct, deploy, rollback, and manage team software, including active participation in on-call duties.

• Automate manual operational tasks with tools to enhance resilience and operability.

• Offer constructive, service-level-aware feedback and contribute to engineering communities of practice.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fully adept in Java, capable of designing, developing, testing, and deploying small-to-medium features and bug fixes independently.

• Proven experience in building Kafka-based streaming pipelines and services within an AWS production setting.

• Familiarity with distributed systems, concurrency, scaling, and asynchronous programming techniques, including streams, event-based flows, task queues, and message queues.

• Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants and agents integrated into daily engineering workflows.

• Proficiency in English.
