Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop well-structured, testable, and efficient code.

• Create innovative ideas and solutions to address complex operational and technical challenges.

• Quickly iterate on both new and existing applications to improve and expand capabilities while ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.

• Engage in the complete software development lifecycle as a member of a high-performing Scrum team.

• Collaborate with leading technology companies (Facebook, Google, Palantir, Amazon, Adobe, Intel, etc.) and domestic as well as international law enforcement agencies to assist in the detection and prevention of child exploitation.

• Act as a subject matter expert in information systems.

• Support the review and refinement of software requirements.

• Help identify and implement process improvements in existing business and IT processes to enhance operational efficiencies.

• Contribute to the evaluation of technical solutions for the Technology Division and provide detailed estimates to aid in the planning processes of operational divisions.

• Take part in code reviews to ensure that applications align with existing architecture and framework guidelines while maintaining high-quality coding standards.

• Address and assist in resolving production issues as necessary, with minimal after-hours support requirements.

• Uphold the integrity and confidentiality of highly sensitive materials, information, and processes.

• Work efficiently with minimal supervision in an Agile environment while providing mentorship to junior Engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 3-5 years of experience in full stack Java development, with knowledge of Spring Boot and the Spring Framework.

• Proven experience in building highly available, scalable, cloud-ready applications, encompassing client, server, and database layers.

• Given the sensitive nature of the information involved, applicants must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent U.S. Residents.
