This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

• Design, develop, and sustain high-volume business logic operating on the mainframe.

• Refactor outdated code to enable interaction between modern cloud and mobile applications and core mainframe data.

• Oversee architecture and pinpoint opportunities for code optimization while maintaining mainframe performance.

• Debug, troubleshoot, and analyze intricate system interactions.

• Extract business logic from legacy systems for migration or integration with cloud-based services.

• Create scalable and resilient software solutions.

• Collaborate with an international network of mainframe modernization specialists.

• Proven experience as a software engineer on intricate software projects.

• Exceptional coding abilities and robust development experience with Java, Python, .Net, or comparable technologies.

• Strong debugging and problem-solving capabilities.

• Familiarity with software development methodologies.

• Demonstrated experience in developing scalable and resilient software.

• Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.

• Proficient in data mapping, XML/JSON, and RESTful web services.

• Knowledge of architectural design, including microservices architecture, containers, Docker, Kubernetes, and messaging queues.

• Profound understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.

• Preferred certification in one or more hyperscalers—Azure, AWS, or Google GCP; certifications can be obtained through Kyndryl.
