Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and sustain high-volume business logic operating on mainframes.

• Refactor outdated code to enable modern cloud and mobile applications to interact with mainframe core data.

• Monitor the architecture and pinpoint opportunities to optimize code while maintaining mainframe performance.

• Debug, troubleshoot, and analyze complicated system interactions.

• Extract business logic from legacy systems for migration or integration with cloud services.

• Develop scalable and robust software utilizing software development methodologies.

• Collaborate with global communities of experts on mainframe modernization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience as a software engineer on intricate software projects.

• Exceptional coding abilities and substantial development experience with Java, Python, .Net, or similar languages.

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

• Proven experience in developing scalable and robust software using software development methodologies.

• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases.

• Experience with data mapping, XML/JSON, and RESTful web services.

• Knowledge of architecture design, including microservices architecture.

• Understanding of containers, including Docker and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with messaging queues.

• In-depth knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.

• Certification in one or more hyperscalers such as Azure, AWS, or Google GCP is preferred; these certifications can be obtained through Kyndryl.

• Experience with DevOps tools and modern engineering practices is preferred.
