Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the end-to-end software development for case management and workflow automation modules.

• Implement a microservices architecture that provides modular and scalable functionality across CMA systems.

• Design and integrate RESTful APIs to facilitate data synchronization between user interfaces, reporting dashboards, and backend services.

• Collaborate with architects, DevOps engineers, and system administrators to establish and maintain continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

• Ensure that code and configuration adhere to DoD cybersecurity standards, including DISA STIG and RMF guidelines.

• Enhance data access and application performance through techniques such as caching, indexing, and asynchronous service calls.

• Create and sustain automated unit, integration, and regression tests to support Agile delivery cycles.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives) to promote iterative delivery and the integration of continuous feedback.

• Diagnose application defects and performance challenges, providing Tier 3 support during critical incidents.

• Work alongside business analysts and end users to ensure that functional designs are aligned with mission workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in full-stack software development for enterprise or federal systems.

• Strong expertise in Java, C#, or Python, along with frameworks such as Spring Boot, .NET Core, or Django.

• Experience with JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue) for creating dynamic, data-driven user interfaces.

• Proficiency in both SQL and NoSQL databases, including schema design, optimization, and migration.

• Familiarity with API design, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD automation tools.

• Knowledge of DoD STIGs, data encryption, and protocols for cross-domain data exchange.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.

• Experience with OutSystems is highly preferred.

• Preferred certifications include AWS Certified Developer – Associate or Solutions Architect, CompTIA Security+ CE (DoD 8570), Certified Scrum Developer (CSD), or a similar Agile certification.
