Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and services.

• Engage in all stages of the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to deployment and support.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and deliver secure, scalable, and reliable solutions.

• Develop and provide support for both front-end and back-end application components.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues while ensuring optimal performance.

• Conduct code reviews and adhere to established software engineering best practices and coding standards.

• Create and uphold technical documentation.

• Take part in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.

• Support cybersecurity and identity access management initiatives through application development and enhancement efforts.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency, and user experience.

• Collaborate closely with engineers, technical leads, architects, and business partners.

• Occasionally travel to Humana offices for training or meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering, application development, or a related field.

• Proficient in developing both front-end and back-end applications.

• Experienced with JavaScript and modern web development technologies.

• Familiar with working in Agile software development environments.

• Skilled in software design, development, testing, and production support.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

• Enthusiastic about contributing to an organization dedicated to continuously improving consumer experiences.

• Minimum home internet speed of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload.
