Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and create high-quality, maintainable software modules for Cotiviti software products.

• Perform unit and integration testing utilizing suitable methodologies and techniques.

• Analyze requirements and specifications to develop comprehensive implementation designs.

• Manage change control and maintain records in both written and electronic formats.

• Review software engineering practices to ensure compliance with best practices.

• Provide support for analytics systems and applications for in-house client support partners.

• Become a subject matter expert on end-to-end Cotiviti client-facing solutions related to design, development, and troubleshooting.

• Analyze and address software-related issues from both internal and external customers.

• Collaborate to troubleshoot and resolve issues within and across Cotiviti teams.

• Document application specifications, designs, features, and operational details.

• Implement or suggest enhancements to improve performance and availability.

• Communicate technical and operational challenges to engineering and business leadership.

• Ensure adherence to technology standards during system development.

• Investigate and apply innovative process or system improvements.

• Continuously enhance knowledge of technologies integrated into the Cotiviti product suite.

• Execute all relevant components of the Cotiviti Software Development Lifecycle.

• Mentor fellow developers and technicians while sharing expertise.

• Fulfill annual Performance Plan responsibilities and complete assigned special projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.

• A minimum of 3 years of industry experience.

• At least 3 years of experience with Java.

• Over 3 years of experience with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, and/or PostgreSQL.

• More than 3 years of SQL development experience on Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, and/or PostgreSQL.

• At least 3 years of troubleshooting experience with production issues in enterprise Java applications supported by relational databases.

• Familiarity with Java frameworks, including Spring or Spring Boot.

• Frontend development experience with Angular, React, and/or Vue.

• Must possess 2+ years of experience with healthcare data.

• Proficient in SQL query optimization and tuning of stored procedures and triggers.

• Expertise in resolving issues in production and client-facing environments.

• Strong skills in handling large datasets.

• Ability to analyze requirements and design effective solutions.

• Experience with Git/Bitbucket and Jenkins is a plus; code versioning/repositories are essential.

• Advanced understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design.

• Strong knowledge and application of SAFe agile methodologies is preferred.

• Familiarity with one or more enterprise scheduling tools.

• Must be able to provide a dedicated and secure workspace.

• High-speed internet access/connectivity and an office setup and maintenance are required.
