Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Manage the complete software development lifecycle.

• Create well-structured, testable, and efficient code.

• Generate specifications and assess operational feasibility.

• Integrate software components into a cohesive software system.

• Develop software verification strategies and quality assurance protocols.

• Document and uphold software functionalities.

• Act as a subject matter expert in the field.

• Adhere to project plans and industry standards.

• Deliver development projects on schedule and within budget.

• Propose, plan, and execute software enhancements and updates.

• Assist in the preparation and documentation of functional requirements and specifications.

• Communicate project goals, risks, and success criteria to the Company Leadership team.

• Provide support to both Aline customers and the internal team as required.

• Analyze and resolve software errors promptly and provide necessary status reports.

• Help develop and maintain user manuals and guidelines.

• Address issues with software products or company software systems, collaborating with network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers.

• Assist in server updates, upgrades, and deployments.

• Contribute to QA testing of larger features before deployment.

• Support the sales team as needed with technical product information and demonstrations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.

• Strong experience in object-oriented application development.

• Proficiency in PHP 5 or higher.

• Familiarity with Symfony or similar PHP Zend frameworks.

• Experience with MySQL or other relational databases.

• Proficient in Git version control.

• Knowledge of Agile methodology.

• Experience with Amazon Web Services.

• Familiarity with Vagrant or Docker.

• Proficient in jQuery.

• Knowledge of Less Bootstrap.

• Proficient in CSS.

• Knowledge of HTML 5.

• Experience with Linux Ubuntu servers.

• Familiarity with C# and the .NET Framework is a plus.

• Experience with React.js and Node.js is a plus but not mandatory.

• Knowledge of Doctrine Entity Framework is a plus.

• Strong written communication skills, including the ability to format, proofread, and edit.

• Professionalism, self-motivation, and confidentiality are crucial.

• Detail-oriented with robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Capable of clear communication with colleagues.
