Software Engineer – AI/ML Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance the shared AI/ML platform.

• Create and manage essential services, APIs, and developer tools that facilitate AI and ML throughout their lifecycle.

• Address engineering challenges related to scalability, reliability, observability, and developer experience.

• Grasp user requirements and transform intricate issues into straightforward, reusable platform capabilities.

• Collaborate closely with engineers and data scientists.

• Oversee projects from technical design to implementation and operational management.

• Establish shared services, APIs, and developer tools to support AI and Machine Learning experimentation, development, and operation.

• Assist teams in accelerating their processes and minimizing the complexities of working with AI and ML.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in software engineering with Python.

• Strong foundation in software design and architecture principles.

• Proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining reliable software systems.

• Excellent engineering practices concerning testing, maintainability, and code quality.

• Capability to address complex technical challenges and make practical design choices.

• Willingness to take ownership of the solutions developed.

• Interest in how AI is transforming software engineering and the pragmatic application of AI tools.

• Preferred: experience in building platforms, developer tools, or production AI systems.

• Preferred: hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies.

• Preferred: knowledge of ML infrastructure and orchestration tools.

• Preferred: experience with GenAI/LLM infrastructure, including model APIs, gateways, evaluation systems, observability, or cost monitoring.

• Open to mid-level and senior engineers, with scope and responsibilities adjusted according to experience.
