Software Engineer, AI Agent Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and deploy features across various Champion platform repositories.

• Enhance the developer experience by improving tooling, scaffolding, internal documentation, and onboarding processes.

• Maintain and upgrade the MCP tool server and agent infrastructure.

• Identify and resolve issues that hinder Champion development or deployment.

• Assist business-unit Applied AI engineers in the development, deployment, and operation of Champions.

• Evaluate agent implementations for prompt quality, scope adherence, authentication configuration, and deployment setup.

• Contribute to the creation of internal engineering guides and skill documentation.

• Collaborate with business-unit engineers on Kubernetes manifests, database registration, and LaunchDarkly prompt rollout.

• Design and develop Champion agents tailored for specific business-unit use cases.

• Create and refine system prompts, tool bindings, and context injection.

• Register agents in the Champion Server and set up LaunchDarkly-gated prompt rollout.

• Adhere to trunk-based development with PR-gated merges.

• Write tests prior to implementation and ensure pull requests are small and focused.

• Utilize feature flags for incremental releases while maintaining API/schema backward compatibility.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in asynchronous Python, Pydantic, type hints, and FastAPI.

• Experience with the Strands agent SDK or a similar agentic framework.

• Familiarity with pytest, pytest-asyncio, and DeepEval.

• Capable of writing and iterating on production system prompts.

• Strong understanding of MCP and practical experience in building or consuming MCP servers.

• Knowledge of multi-agent architectures and orchestration patterns.

• Competent in designing and executing evaluation suites for agent behavior.

• Comfortable creating Dockerfiles, multi-stage builds, and docker-compose / make environments.

• Proficient in templated PostgreSQL INSERT/SELECT, foreign key relationships, and ER diagrams.

• Adhere to conventional commit formats and PR-based trunk workflows.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, and ServiceAccounts is a plus.

• Basic knowledge of AWS ECR, EKS, IAM, and Bedrock is a plus.

• Conceptual understanding of OAuth2/OIDC is an advantage.

• Beginner-level familiarity with Terraform is a plus.

• Experience with LaunchDarkly is beneficial.

• Familiarity with AWS Textract or similar OCR/document-intelligence technologies is advantageous.

• Comfortable using Claude Code and Cursor.

• Work authorization in Mexico is required; visa sponsorship is not available.
