πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Collaborate with Engineering Leadership to define the long-term technical vision and framework for shared policy models, lifecycle and governance services, evaluation paths, and consumer integration contracts.

β€’ Set standards for reliability, scalability, security, and operational processes for systems utilized across campaign planning, creative review, serving, live workflows, forecasting, and reporting.

β€’ Recognize technical deficiencies and opportunities across teams, articulate their business implications, and influence roadmaps towards solutions that optimize for Netflix instead of a singular local system.

β€’ Maintain a hands-on approach by producing code, designs, prototypes, strategies, and architectures that streamline systems and expedite delivery.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Extensive experience in AdTech overall, with additional experience in Ads Policy or Trust and Safety considered a plus.

β€’ Proven history of identifying and addressing highly complex and ambiguous challenges.

β€’ Significant experience in designing and managing large-scale distributed systems, preferably on the JVM or a similar server-side platform.

β€’ Demonstrated capability to establish long-term technical strategies and guide architectural choices across multiple systems or teams.

β€’ Strong understanding of API design, data modeling, schema evolution, versioning, backward compatibility, and correctness-sensitive evaluation.

β€’ Familiarity with Typescript, as well as UX and UI design principles.

β€’ Ability to clearly communicate intricate technical issues and their business implications to engineering, product, policy, operations, and leadership stakeholders.

β€’ Proven track record of influencing cross-team roadmaps, resolving conflicts, and fostering sustainable alignment without relying on formal authority.

β€’ Evidence of mentoring and developing engineers, enhancing teammates' effectiveness, and scaling impact through collaboration.

β€’ Commitment to operational excellence, including performance analysis, testing, observability, incident response, and ownership of business-critical production systems.
