Software Engineer 4 – AI Native

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the agent team on production workflows by breaking down problems, assigning tasks, and integrating results into the final software.

• Assess agent-generated pull requests thoroughly for accuracy, security, and accessibility issues.

• Create evaluation suites that quantify software quality.

• Take ownership of end-to-end quality, encompassing correctness, performance, security, and WCAG accessibility.

• Progress workflows from supervised to autonomous execution based on reliability metrics.

• Revert autonomy when reliability assessments indicate a lack of support.

• Detect degradation in patterns, prompts, or pipeline components and collaborate with the lead architect for remediation.

• Ensure agent operations remain within the security perimeter.

• Contribute to the standards of the AI-native engineering lifecycle.

• Mentor engineers transitioning to agent-directed delivery methodologies.

• Safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company information assets.

• Ensure privacy for employee and customer data and complete necessary privacy training.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid engineering fundamentals in data structures, systems design, and testing.

• Capability to quickly comprehend unfamiliar code and evaluate it accurately.

• Proven experience in delivering production software while managing its quality, diagnostics, and remedial actions.

• Practical experience guiding coding agents in production tasks.

• Familiarity with agent failure modes and critically analyzing agent-generated code.

• Established proficiency in code reviews, including spotting defects that automated tests may overlook.

• Ability to provide constructive feedback and uphold a high quality standard.

• Strong autonomy and proactive issue escalation.

• Preferred: experience in FedRAMP, defense, financial services, healthcare, NIST 800-53, SOC 2, or HIPAA-compliant environments.

• Preferred: experience in evaluation authoring or test-first development methodologies.

• Preferred: full-stack expertise covering both front-end and back-end development.

• Preferred: experience in the public sector or govtech.

• Must be responsible for correctness, performance, security, and WCAG accessibility.

• Must operate within branch-only execution, using vaulted credentials, sandboxed actions, and adhering to in-VPC inference security constraints.
