This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Lead and mentor a small solution engineering team that focuses on reusable libraries, shared capabilities, and platform enablement across various product teams.
• Offer coaching, constructive feedback, and support to a senior-heavy engineering team, participating in hiring and team development as necessary.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, QA, and engineering teams to facilitate delivery through shared standards, guidance, and coordinated adoption of platform solutions.
• Promote the adoption of modern engineering practices across CI/CD, deployment, scanning, and scaling, employing a technology-agnostic approach aligned with platform requirements.
• Act as a Level 4 escalation point for complex application-related production issues, triaging incidents and coordinating resolutions across teams while aiding initiative planning and prioritization.
• Advocate for secure application development practices and compliance standards, assisting in vulnerability remediation and the adoption of secure SDLC across teams.
• Formulate clear change management strategies, technical guidance, and adoption plans to minimize cross-team friction and cognitive load.
• Continuously evaluate engineering practices and tooling to foster practical enhancements in developer productivity and operational efficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• A minimum of 8 years of professional software engineering experience, including technical leadership across multiple teams.
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate the delivery of scalable, enterprise-grade software in distributed or cloud-hosted settings.
• Strong hands-on experience with backend and frontend technologies such as C#/.NET, RESTful APIs, and modern frontend frameworks.
• Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or comparable systems.
• Practical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Excellent communication skills with the capacity to influence and align stakeholders across both technical and non-technical teams.
• Experience in supporting production systems, including incident triage, root cause analysis, and coordination across teams.
• Ability to work remotely within the United States, with availability that aligns with Eastern Time for collaboration.
