Software Development Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, lead, and implement a long-term vision and strategy for Corporate Payments, encompassing both cross-cutting and core services.

• Define and execute an architectural roadmap for the EnCompass platform that aligns with business objectives and adheres to industry best practices.

• Promote innovation, teamwork, empowerment, and continuous learning within engineering teams.

• Apply efficient engineering techniques to minimize time-to-market.

• Collaborate with Corporate Payments engineering teams to leverage shared development practices and components.

• Build, lead, and nurture high-performance engineering teams.

• Recruit, mentor, promote, and retain top talent.

• Work in partnership with product and commercial teams to prioritize work based on customer needs.

• Facilitate monthly, weekly, and quarterly planning, execution, and auditing processes.

• Establish and uphold an engineering roadmap.

• Maintain career development plans and provide feedback on a monthly and quarterly basis.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in software engineering.

• More than 4 years of experience in engineering management.

• Proficiency in the rapid development and deployment of internal and external services using cloud computing platforms like AWS or Azure.

• Experience in writing high-quality automation, including unit, component, and integration tests.

• Comprehensive understanding of the test pyramid.

• Strong knowledge of security and compliance requirements in cloud and data environments.

• Exceptional leadership, team-building, and dynamic decision-making abilities.

• Capability to navigate ambiguity and excel in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Preferred: experience in building finance applications such as credit card products and accounts receivables/payables.

• Preferred: experience working with geographically distributed teams and creating self-managing distributed teams.
