Software Development Intern – Cloud & DevOps, AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Analyze and diagnose the historical query patterns within the matching engine to identify serial calls that could be optimized through parallelization or caching.

• Design and implement solutions on AWS, utilizing services such as Lambda, SQS, Step Functions, ElastiCache, and DynamoDB.

• Develop monitoring and cost visibility mechanisms related to scaling modifications.

• Collaborate with the Director of AI/ML Software Engineering to ensure infrastructure changes are in alignment with the scoring logic of the matching engine.

• Expand infrastructure protocols to encompass Trustbridge components, including RFP/RFQ tools, supplier evaluation platforms, and referral/payment tracking systems.

• Assist in migrating workloads and services to AWS, which includes formulating migration strategies, data transfer, cutovers, and validating post-migration outcomes.

• Document architectural decisions and create run books.

• Execute workstreams according to established SOPs and specifications, employing AI-assisted tools.

• Engage in daily coordination with the Chief of Staff and receive technical direction from the senior engineering lead.

• 0–1 year of relevant work experience as specified in the job details.

• Strong communication skills, including clear speaking, writing, listening, and the ability to discern when to escalate issues.

• Demonstrated reliability and a strong work ethic.

• Eagerness and capability to learn new concepts.

• A positive demeanor.

• Fundamental programming skills in any modern programming language; proficiency in Python or Node.js is advantageous.

• Familiarity with core AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS/DynamoDB, and SQS/SNS, gained through coursework, personal projects, or previous internships.

• Knowledge of cloud migration principles, including lift-and-shift, re-platforming, re-architecting, data migration, and strategies to minimize downtime during cutover.

• Understanding of serial versus parallel execution and caching methodologies.

• Ability to work autonomously based on written specifications and to seek clarification when specifications are unclear.
