Software Development Engineer III, CRM – Opportunities

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete lifecycle for the Opportunities backend, converting business and customer requirements into scalable, production-ready services.

• Design and refine data models for pipelines, stages, deals, and related entities.

• Develop and enhance APIs, event-driven workflows, and background jobs to support high-volume writes, automation, and integrations.

• Tackle distributed-systems challenges such as idempotency, eventual consistency, race conditions, hot tenants, and noisy-neighbor isolation.

• Enhance the performance and reliability of extensive pipelines through indexing, sharding, caching, and query optimization.

• Deliver end-to-end solutions when necessary, including Vue UI modifications.

• Equip systems with logs, metrics, traces, and SLOs for better monitoring.

• Lead incident response efforts, conduct postmortems, and maintain engineering standards.

• Launch Opportunities features from concept to production with minimal cycle time.

• Create dependable services as workspaces expand from thousands to millions of deals.

• Balance the needs for speed, quality, and long-term maintainability.

• Enhance data accuracy, API design, operational excellence, customer experience, and instrumentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in building and managing production backend systems at scale.

• Strong foundational knowledge in data modeling (SQL and NoSQL), API design, and distributed systems.

• Practical experience with Node.js or Go in a production environment.

• Proven history of owning services from end to end — design, build, deploy, and on-call responsibilities.

• Ability to work independently in ambiguous problem spaces with a high degree of ownership.

• Good understanding of scalability, performance, and reliability trade-offs.

• Experience in developing CRM, sales, pipeline, or workflow products.

• Background in multi-tenant SaaS at scale, including sharding, tenant isolation, and fair-use limits.

• Familiarity with event streaming technologies such as Kafka or Redis Streams, as well as queues and asynchronous processing.

• Experience with MongoDB, Postgres, ElasticSearch, ClickHouse, or similar databases at a significant scale.

• Proficiency in Vue.js sufficient to ship a feature independently without frontend collaboration.

• Strong product instincts complemented by a portfolio or GitHub showcasing past work.
