Software Development Engineer III – Corporate Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +26 more states.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance solutions utilizing Azure cloud technologies, RESTful .NET web API services, CI/CD, and TDD.

• Create SQL queries to retrieve data from RDBMS databases such as SQL Server.

• Develop flows and automation within the Microsoft Power Platform.

• Collaborate with product, architecture, and business teams to influence and guide technical decisions.

• Adopt a mindset focused on system improvements.

• Offer technical guidance to the team as necessary.

• Participate in an Agile team, including pairing and mobbing with fellow engineers.

• Contribute to engineering standards for secure, robust, and reliable solutions that align with Premera’s engineering excellence principles.

• Assist the Corporate Services team across various areas including employee experience, finance, legal, and regulatory business streams.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems, or 4 years of equivalent experience.

• Over 5 years of software development experience.

• Proficiency with Azure and a programming language such as C# or Java.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio, MS SQL Server, and Power Platform.

• Experience in working with cloud solutions.

• Knowledge of automated testing tools, both in usage and creation.

• Experience in building applications, web apps, integrations, and APIs in Azure.

• Background in Agile methodologies and understanding of the Agile delivery model.

• Preference for candidates with experience in live site culture.
