This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Create high-performance, dependable microservices capable of managing large-scale workloads.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable production-quality code.
• Develop reusable components and services in accordance with engineering best practices.
• Engage in technical design discussions and contribute to the system architecture.
• Optimize backend services for scalability, performance, and high availability.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement sustainable solutions.
• Enhance system reliability through monitoring, logging, testing, and observability.
• Participate in incident resolution and root cause analysis as needed.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, QA, and other engineers to deliver high-quality features.
• Take part in code reviews to uphold engineering standards and enhance code quality.
• Share knowledge and collaborate with teammates to tackle technical challenges.
• Contribute to ongoing improvements in engineering practices, testing, and SDLC processes.
• Over 5 years of hands-on experience in backend software development.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.
• Candidates with robust experience in JavaScript, Go, Java, Python, C#, or other similar backend technologies, who are willing to work extensively with TypeScript and Node.js, are also encouraged to apply.
• Experience in designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, including schema design and query optimization.
• Knowledge of caching strategies, asynchronous processing, and message queues.
• Practical experience with Docker and containerized applications.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and contemporary software development practices.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Sentry, ELK, or similar.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, testing methodologies, and debugging techniques.
