Software Development Engineer III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design and develop microservices and APIs capable of managing production traffic while achieving measurable uptime and latency goals.

• Recognize and resolve performance bottlenecks in both code and infrastructure, and quantify the effects of your improvements.

• Deliver features from start to finish, covering specification, production, testing, code review, and incident response.

• Suggest architectural solutions supported by load estimates or proof-of-concept outcomes to tackle scalability issues.

• Construct logging, monitoring, and alerting systems that highlight actionable problems before they affect users.

• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and collaborative coding sessions to enhance their ability to deliver independently.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise in at least one backend programming language (Python, Node.js) with experience in deployed production systems.

• Over 4 years of experience in software development.

• Proficient in writing a majority of code utilizing AI technologies.

• Experience in designing and troubleshooting microservices or distributed systems with REST APIs.

• Strong SQL capabilities and a proven ability to enhance database query performance and schema design.

• Demonstrated history of owning features from design through to production deployment.

• Comfortable delivering code in dynamic environments and debugging production issues under pressure.

• Familiarity with ORMs such as Prisma and relational databases like PostgreSQL.

• Knowledge of background job queues and management of scheduled tasks.

• Experience with Redis or similar caching and pub-sub systems.

• Strong product intuition and experience in building end-to-end projects or products, including frontend/design.
