Software Development Engineer III – Agency Success

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and actively contribute to the architecture, design, and development of the Agency Module, Agency Onboarding, and Platform Billing.

• Create and implement scalable backend services, APIs, and integrations with internal microservices and third-party platforms like Stripe.

• Develop high-performance frontend experiences for agency management, onboarding, and billing processes.

• Lead technical decisions, assess risks and trade-offs, and manage complex features from technical design to production deployment.

• Employ AI-first development methodologies and AI-assisted tools for tasks including development, testing, debugging, and refactoring.

• Create data models and optimize queries utilizing Firestore, MongoDB, ClickHouse, and Elasticsearch.

• Engage in the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from gathering requirements and technical design to deployment, monitoring, and production support.

• Write clean, secure, and testable code with adequate unit and integration test coverage.

• Ensure observability through logs, metrics, monitoring, and tracing.

• Take part in code reviews, technical design discussions, incident resolution, and operational support, including on-call duties where necessary.

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineering teams to transform business requirements into scalable solutions.

• Adhere to best practices concerning security, scalability, maintainability, testing, documentation, and production readiness.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of hands-on software engineering experience in building and scaling robust backend systems and high-performance frontend applications.

• Proficient backend engineering skills with practical experience in Node.js, TypeScript, API development, data modeling, and system design.

• Familiarity with NestJS is preferred.

• Strong understanding of RESTful API design, microservices architecture, distributed systems, and inter-service communication.

• Practical experience with MongoDB and Redis, including data modeling, query design, and performance enhancement.

• Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems such as GCP Pub/Sub, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies.

• Exposure to AI/LLM application development, including LLM API integration, prompt/context design, or AI-assisted product workflows.

• Good frontend development experience with Vue.js, React, or Angular; Vue.js is preferred.

• Understanding of component-driven architecture and modern CSS frameworks such as Tailwind CSS or Bootstrap.

• Experience with frontend state management patterns and libraries like Vuex/Pinia, Redux, MobX, or similar.

• Knowledge of production observability and debugging, covering logging, monitoring, tracing, error tracking, and performance profiling.

• Familiarity with modern SDLC practices, Agile methodologies, Git workflows, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Knowledge of ClickHouse and Elasticsearch, as well as document, analytical/columnar, and search databases.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar.

• Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities across frontend, backend, databases, integrations, and distributed services.

• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, ability to lead technical discussions, make engineering trade-offs, and mentor fellow engineers.

• Strong ownership mentality and capability to independently tackle complex engineering challenges while delivering high-quality solutions.
