Software Development Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks that can be utilized across various testing types (UI, API, performance, security) rather than creating isolated scripts.

• Leading an AI-centric testing strategy by incorporating AI-driven solutions into the quality assurance process.

• Implementing and expanding Playwright-based automation for web applications (Python/Django + JavaScript/NextJS).

• Conducting manual testing when necessary (such as exploratory testing, edge cases, or quick validations), while primarily focusing on automation.

• Creating CI/CD-integrated testing systems to guarantee continuous and dependable test coverage.

• Detecting gaps, bottlenecks, and risks within automation pipelines and addressing them proactively.

• Ensuring the reliability, maintainability, and scalability of tests by concentrating on frameworks instead of one-off scripts.

• Mentoring junior QA engineers and collaborating with developers, DevOps, and product teams to elevate quality standards.

• Proven experience in building reusable and scalable test frameworks rather than developing isolated scripts.

• An AI-first mindset towards automation testing (including test case generation, self-healing tests, and AI-driven validation).

• A minimum of 2.5 years of experience in automation testing with a robust engineering perspective.

• Practical expertise with Playwright for end-to-end testing.

• Relevant hands-on experience with manual testing.

• Strong debugging and online research skills.

• Effective communication abilities.

• Proficient problem-solving skills.
