Software Development Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Responsible for planning, designing, developing, and testing software systems or applications aimed at enhancing software and introducing new products, including cloud-based or internet-related tools.

• Engage in all phases of software development activities, such as design, coding, code review, unit testing, integration testing, and bug resolution.

• Work autonomously to design and deliver functionalities ranging from medium to complex.

• Collaborate with and provide guidance to team members to create scalable and high-performance solutions with minimal operational overhead.

• Partner with multi-functional team members to ensure an exceptional end-to-end user experience for our customers.

• Rapidly prototype ideas and concepts while researching the latest trends in the industry.

• Develop features that enhance the usability of our products.

• Assist in tracking metrics and generating ideas to improve and boost user adoption.

• Conduct analysis and experimentation on the data flowing through various systems and services.

• Create a data consistency and validation feature to ensure the delivery of high-quality data.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• At least 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Self-motivated with a strong ability to learn and adapt swiftly.

• Proven track record of delivering software releases or projects punctually and with high quality.

• Familiarity with Java and the Spring Framework.

• Proficient in Object-Oriented analysis and design.

• Experience in developing large-scale, complex client/server solutions is advantageous.

• Understanding of data experimentation and analysis.

• Knowledge in constructing RESTful services.

• Strong knowledge of databases and SQL.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Experience with Agile Software Development methodologies.

• Familiarity with AWS, New Relic, and Splunk is a significant plus.
